It can improve health and general well-being and treat psychosomatic illness. Clients are recommended to initially seek medical attention for health issues. There are no drugs or tablets used in hypnosis
Shall I be aware of what is happening?
Yes. The predominant feeling of most people is – “It didn’t work for me – I never went under.”
So I am not asleep then?
No. The technique is called ‘Conscious Hypnosis’.
Is there any cause at all for concern?
None whatsoever. Hypnosis is a proven therapeutic aid.
Could I be influenced to do anything against my will or nature?
No. In fact you would be shocked out of the hypnotic state immediately if any such action was suggested to you.
How many visits will I need?
Simpler problems like smoking, nail-biting, slimming, pre-test nerves etc. usually require 1-3 sessions and the success rate is surprisingly high.
Can ‘normal’ people undergo Hypno-Psychotherapy or Psycho-Analysis?
Not only can they, but they should. For an insight into yourself, it has no equal.
The state of Hypnosis is a totally natural phenomenon, is most pleasant and particularly relaxing and a person can converse quite easily whilst within the state. It is inconceivable that any harm could befall them. Indeed the centuries old technique of hypnosis is being used increasingly as an adjunct to orthodox medicine whether it is proving a valuable alternative to drugs for anaesthesia to accelerate healing, relieve stress and control pain. A good definition of Hypnosis is ‘A state of relaxation and concentration at one with a state of heightened awareness induced by suggestion.’
The more deep-rooted nervous disorders require ‘analytical’ rather than ‘suggestion’ therapy which usually consists of 8-12 sessions.and are simply extremely relaxed.
Each client is given a CD after the first session to listen to which will reinforce the positive suggestions given.
